Welcome to CalcMojo, a free calculator and utility website built to make everyday calculations faster, cleaner, and less annoying.
We created CalcMojo for one simple reason: I had to look at multiple sites for the tools I needed so I thought, why not build my own?
A lot of calculator websites are cluttered, slow, confusing, or packed with fluff before you can even use the tool. We wanted CalcMojo to feel different.
Our goal is simple: give people practical tools that work well, load fast, and get to the point.
Whether you are trying to calculate EMI, SIP returns, GST, BMI, BMR, body fat, unit conversions, percentages, text counts, coding-related values, or everyday utility numbers, CalcMojo is designed to help you do it quickly without unnecessary friction.
Founder and editor, CalcMojo
I’m a technology editor with 12+ years in editorial. I spent over six years at Autocar India (Haymarket SAC Publishing) as Sub Editor and Senior Copy Editor, working on India’s leading automobile magazine and its web portal. Earlier I was at Spenta Multimedia, where I led editorial teams producing custom-content magazines for clients including Tata Consultancy Services, HDFC Bank, and the National Sports Club of India. I most recently served as Account Director (Content) at Rite Knowledge Labs.
My professional career actually started in technology — as a technical writer at Cognizant Technology Solutions documenting networking systems, after several years as a freelance C#/.NET software developer and contributor to Digit Magazine. That mix of editorial discipline and hands-on building is what I apply at CalcMojo today: every tool is tested against textbook formulas, every page is edited for clarity, and every calculation is verifiable against primary sources.
I hold a Master’s in Media and Communication from the Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication and a Bachelor’s in Computer Applications from Pune University.
CalcMojo is operated from Mumbai, but the site is built for users worldwide. At the same time, we also care deeply about India-specific use cases, which is why CalcMojo includes and will continue to expand tools around topics like GST, EMI, SIP, PPF, income tax, salary, and other India-relevant calculations.
CalcMojo covers a growing range of calculators and utility tools across categories such as:
We focus on tools that are genuinely useful in real life, not just tools that exist to pad out a category.
We want CalcMojo to be clean, useful, and respectful of your time.
That means we try to build around a few core principles:
We believe a utility website should feel like a utility website. You should not have to scroll through a wall of filler before doing a basic calculation. Whenever possible, we want the experience to stay clean and direct.
Some tools need context. Some do not. We try to strike the balance between giving enough help to be useful and not drowning the page in unnecessary explanation.
We care about getting things right. That includes formulas, assumptions, inputs, outputs, and the overall usability of the tool. We do not believe in publishing junk just to increase page count.
That said, calculators can still have limits. Some depend on assumptions. Some involve changing laws, rules, rates, or guidelines. Some are simplified by design. That is why we encourage users to treat calculator outputs as informational and to verify important results independently.
For high-stakes decisions involving money, taxes, health, pregnancy, legal matters, construction, or safety, you should always use professional judgment and consult a qualified expert where needed.
CalcMojo is designed as a free website. To help support its growth and maintenance, we may use monetization methods such as Google AdSense and affiliate links on select pages, including Amazon affiliate links where relevant.
Even when monetization is added, our aim is to keep the site practical and ad-light rather than turning it into a cluttered mess. The tool should remain the main thing.
CalcMojo is for students, professionals, developers, freelancers, households, researchers, business owners, planners, and everyday users who just want a useful tool without nonsense.
Some people come for simple conversions. Some come for tax estimates. Some come for finance planning. Some come for health-related numbers. Some come for text and dev utilities. We want the site to serve all of them in a straightforward way.
We are building CalcMojo with a long-term mindset. That means continuing to improve the tools, expanding useful categories, fixing errors when we find them, and keeping the experience clean and practical.
We are not trying to be the loudest utility site on the internet. We are trying to be one of the most useful.
